Desert nights, unveiled...
illusions shifting with the sand,
appear before the fire light,
exposed by unseen hands.

Pyramids stand, majestic...
undaunted by my gaze
as I ponder the mystic wisdom
of life in a distant age.

Voices echo, softly...
lingering through frescoed halls,
chanting the words of an ancient verse,
once inscribed upon the walls.

Mysteries, ever flowing...
winding secrets along the Nile;
here truth, lies buried along her banks,
where seekers stand, beguiled.

Elusive shadows, waiting...
where pharaohs lie entombed,
to protect the valley of the dead,
preserved among the ruins.

Memories, unfold slowly...
trailing visions through my mind
of a culture gone but not forgotten,
by the changing winds of time.
